Paradise Square

Concrete back walls painted on lauan flats and muslin sheets to cover existing theatre architecture. Texturing with paper pulp and elastomeric, applied with trowels.
Multiple glazes and washes of different tones and sheens applied with lay in brushes and foam rollers to create interest.
Trash mound serving as ground row made from muslin applied on plywood and chicken wire structure. Texturing with mulch and elastomeric. Dimensional objects applied by props department. Entire mound sprayed with Binks sprayer for even application. Toning glazes sprayed with Gloria sprayer.
Two identical signs, one broken. Pounced from print out, then painted with acrylic paint. Gold letters gilded with imitation leaf (last image shows different gold paint samples).

Faux stone fireplace made to look tacky and "scenic." Carved styrofoam from pounce. Primed with foamcoat. Multiple glaze coats for rock color.

Brick for A Doll's House, Part 2, Berkeley Repertory Theatre (design: Andrew Boyce, charge: Lisa Lazar. Texture with paint and paper pulp sprayed with hopper. Various glazes for brick. Grout with fine cork and joint compound piped on. September 2018.
Twelfth Night

Sandstone brick walls and floor. Roller scumble with base colors, sprays to tone and even out scumble. Flogging with light and dark colors. Bricks and pattern lined with help of stencil. Glazes over top to pick out different colored bricks. Sponged moss on floor and some walls.

Repaint caroler yard decorations from the 1940s. Above are the originals. Each piece was sanded, primed, and drawn on using projection.
